We have all studied a color wheel and have learned the basics of color mixing but do we know the difference between a mixture of thalo blue and cadmium red medium; and cerulean blue and red oxide? Knowing what your colors will do in mixtures will save you time experimenting; and will save you from wasting paint. I make color reference books and I use them all the time when I am painting.
