New Artworks at Broken Top Resort

"Painting the Good Life" 

Vivian Olsen and Jacqueline Newbold are the featured artists from February 20 to March 19, 2015 at the Broken Top Resort Clubhouse. The show opened with an Artists' Reception with wine and soft jazz playing beside the bright array of pastel painted birds and watercolor scenes of Provence.

Vivian Olsen with 'Great Horned Owl'

Vivian is showing her life-like
paintings of owls, ravens, 
swans and other animals 
created with pastels. She 
paints wildlife portraits that 
show her keen interest in her
subjects and that capture the 
animal's lively personality. 
She also paints with water-
colors and oils, and paints 
landscapes in plein air.

      Jacqueline capture's
'a moment of time' when 
painting her fun and 
colorful scenes of her 
travels to Provence and 
other picturesque places. 
She teaches watercolor
and art journaling classes
both nationally and inter-
nationally, and has articles
in art magazines, and a 
self-published book -
Watercolor Journeys. 


Both artists are members of 
HDAL.Vivian is president of 
this well-known art group, 
and Jacqueline is a past 
president. Both artists are 
active in other national art 
organizations.
